Der Cityadvent 2025 gestaltet das Adventslied „Maria durch ein‘ Dornwald ging“ als raumgreifende Installation. Der Dornwald zeigt bedrängendes Böses und Schlechtes, das verzweifeln lassen könnte. Aber die Dornen tragen Rosen. Sie verwandeln den Dornwald und nähren die adventliche Erwartung der Weihnacht. Sie verweisen auf die Hoffnung, dass das Gute die Oberhand behalten kann, wenn die erlösende Antwort Gottes im eigenen Leben gefunden wird.

City Advent 2025 presents the Advent carol "Maria durch ein' Dornwald ging" (Mary walked through a thorn forest) as an immersive installation. The thorn forest represents oppressive evil and wickedness that could lead to despair. But the thorns bear roses. They transform the thorn forest and nourish the Advent anticipation of Christmas. They point to the hope that good can prevail when God's redeeming answer is found in one's own life.
